Finish reading Anna Sewell’s Black Beauty. As you reach the end of each page, note all the words which are new to you. Look up the defintions in your dictionary and, after finding the one that fits the context, add it to your vocabulary list. Then reread the page before starting the next one.
Write a brief outline-a synopsis- of each chapter. Two or three sentences, in your own words, will suffice to sum up the storyline in each chapter.
The Martian Chronicles: Prepare for a comprehension and vocabulary test on what we have read in class.
Geography
Choose one of the countries mentioned in Rachel Redford, Book One. Prepare a presentation on the country chosen.
Reminder
Your research on the origins of the tin can must be presented in class on 6th March. You can make a poster for your presentation and include your own drawings e.g. to illustrate a Bolivian mine.
