HOLIDAY HOMEWORK GROUP 3/EBLAGH (6ÈMES/5ÈMES)
1. Rachel Redford Book 1. Create a Venn diagram making notes on the similarities and differences between yourself and the main character in the text (pages 7 to 11). Then write a composition (with at least three paragraghs and 150 words) comparing the girl’s life with yours. (Your composition must be handed in on 3rd November).
2. Read the article ‘Earth’s Penguins on Thin Ice”. Make a vocabulary list in your notebook using your English-English dictionary. Prepare for a test on vocabulary and comprehension.
3. Geography. Learn the names of the 27 member states of the European Union and their capital cities. Test on 3rd November.
4. Black Beauty. Finish reading chapters 1 to 15. Use your dictionary to make a list of all new or unfamiliar words. Then read the chapters again to prepare for a comprehension test.
